All components manufactured by Gilchrist-Pearson are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, when used under normal operating conditions, (see notes below), and when used in accordance with the product’s specifications. This warranty is in effect for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. Items purchased from outside suppliers, such as the Digital Micrometer, are covered by the manufacturer for warranty for 2 years. The battery and charger are warrantied for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
Gilchrist-Pearson will repair or replace, at its option, any of its products found to be defective within the warranty period. Gilchrist-Pearson is not responsible for incidental expenses incurred in shipping to and from the companies involved.
Gilchrist-Pearson is not liable, under any circumstances, for any consequential, incidental or indirect damages or expenses associated with a warrantied product.
Please Note: Products that are damaged due to misuse, abuse, negligence, exposure, accident, operated beyond the product’s specifications, or that has been modified after receipt, dismantled and/or attempts were made by the customer to repair, are NOT covered under this warranty. Products that have been used in unsuitable environments, such as excessive heat, cold, moisture, humidity, dust, debris, or electrical noise, are not covered under this warranty.
- Dynamic Calibrators manufactured prior to February 2019 can be damaged if they are operated while being charged, as stated in the instruction manual. This is due to the higher voltage and amperage from the battery charger. The warranty will not cover a damaged Dynamic Calibrator if it is operated while being charged.
- On Dynamic Calibrators manufactured after February 2019, a design change allows the battery to be charged only when the power switch is in the off position. Any Dynamic Calibrators manufactured prior to February 2019 and returned for repair not related to damage as stated above in number 1, or for modification, will be upgraded to the new design at no charge.
- The Digital Micrometer on the Static Calibrator is a HIGH PRECISION measuring device with a resolution capability down to 1/20 of 1 thousand of an inch. Please read the shipping and storage instructions in the manual to see how to best protect the Static Calibrator against shipping and handling damage. Damage caused by not properly following the shipping and storage instructions in the manual are not covered by the warranty.
